ANDREW WHITE

Founder

Andrew White, may have founded Fat Rain Films but has been responsible for most big campaigns in Kenya since 1984. In the course of his long-standing career in Kenya, he has won the lion’s share of creative awards at APA Awards over the years.

He has worked on all major brands including Tusker, CCK, KRA, KTB, Brand Kenya, KQ, Equity, Barclays, CFC, Stanchart, KCB, Unilever, P&G, Safaricom, Airtel, Coca Cola, UAP, Britam, Old Mutual, Trust, BAT and many more campaigns.

Before starting Fat Rain Films, Andrew spent most of the last 40 years in the Advertising industry. He began as a copywriter at Ogilvy Sydney in 1978, continued as Creative Director in Ogilvy Hong Kong, Singapore and Nairobi. In 1990 he joined a small Kenyan AD agency called Scanad and helped build it into Africa’s largest multinational marketing communications network. He has been acknowledged as one of Africa’s best creative minds.
